Marina Magalhães 
Dancer, Choreographer
Marina Magalhães is a Los Angeles-based border-crosser, bridge-builder, and dance-and-change-maker from Brazil. She has shared her work throughout the US, Brazil, Cuba, Botswana, South Africa, Germany, and France, earning her a Theater Award for Best Choreography from LA Weekly. Magalhães holds a B.A. in World Arts & Cultures/Dance from UCLA and an M.F.A. in Dance from the University of the Arts. She is currently a Lecturer at UC Riverside, a Resident Choreographer with Viver Brasil Dance Company, a Resident Artist at Pieter Space, and Founder of the multi-tiered Dancing Diaspora platform, now going on its third year with the support of the California Arts Council.
