Ian Cofre is an independent curator, writer, and translator based in Brooklyn, NY. For over thirteen years he has created exhibitions and programs that examine contemporary problems critically and in an interdisciplinary manner. Often working collaboratively, he creates spaces for inquiry that challenge how we see and experience things. His main areas of interest are Latin America, systems like the art market, and alternative economies and their modes of art production. In January 2020, he co-organized the Art Workers Lab with the NYC Museum Workers Happy Hour and Culture Workers Education Center for PS122 Gallery, where he is also Director.
