Fred Joiner

Fred L. Joiner is a poet and curator based in Chapel Hill, NC. He is the poet Laureate of Carrboro, NC, and an Academy of American Poets, Laureate Fellow. Fred has read his work, curated exhibitions, and produced public programming locally, nationally, and internationally. He is the co-founder of The Center for Poetic Thought; a board member for The American Poetry Museum and the Arch Development Corporation; and the board chair for the Orange County Art Commission. Most recently, Fred guest-curated an exhibition, Micro / Macro, of 2021 Masters of Fine Arts graduates for The Ackland Museum.

Fred contributed his deep knowledge to the reading list accompanying the course "Protecting Your Storytelling Power: Strategies For Black Artists."

Alvin Dollow is a young, black, gifted creative visionary. He’s a filmmaker, photographer, and audio engineer. A native of Liberia, he moved to New York City in search of collaborations with like-minded individuals in the visual arts. His goal is to create the most beautiful and inspiring work imaginable.
